GUEST BIOGRAPHY

This episode is a conversation with Paul Williams - one of the most prolific and respected songwriters of our time. Paul and his songs have earned 3 Grammy awards, 2 Golden Globes, 6 Oscar nominations including an Oscar win for “Best Original Song” for his co-write with Barbra Streisand, “Evergreen”, from “A Star Is Born” and he is an inductee in the “Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame”.

He wrote the songs for (and starred in) Brian De Palma’s, “PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE”, composed the song score for, Alan Parker’s “BUGSY MALONE” and Jim Henson’s, “THE MUPPET MOVIE”  He’s an accomplisher actor, Producer and activist and, if that’s not enough, for the past 12 years, in his “spare time”, he’s served as the President of ASCAP which, in addition to collecting and paying songwriters their hard-earned performance royalties, also helps to protect their legal rights in Washington D.C.; about which he is very passionate.
