Multi platinum award-winning Songwriter and Recording Artist, David Pomeranz, "talks shop" with some of the finest Songwriters of our time.

Welcome to a new episode of “SongSessions”. I’m your host, David Pomeranz, and todays’ guest is one of the most talented lyricists of our time. He walks in the shoes of the great American Theater writers, Ira Gershwin, Larry Hart, Stephen Sondheim and Frank Loesser and he is unparalleled with his ability to generate wordplay and pictures that can make you think and laugh and feel.

Among his many accomplishments, He won a Tony Award for Best Musical and Best Score (with Composer, Cy Coleman) for “CITY OF ANGELS” as well as the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics. He’s earned three more Tony Nominations (for Neil Simon’s “THE GOODBYE GIRL” (with Composer, Marvin Hamlisch) and "WOMEN IN WHITE" (with composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber) He also wrote lyrics for two Oscar® and Grammy® Nominated projects (including the hit song, “GO THE DISTANCE” from Disney’s “HERCULES” with music by Alan Menken and recorded by Michael Bolton.)

When it comes to sheer creativity, high craft and excellence, there’s just nobody better. I have a deep personal reality of his genius as he and I have collaborated on writing several wonderful songs for my albums as well as one of my favorites, “BORN FOR YOU”.
